Ministry Distinctive
The Master of Theology degree goes beyond the standard MDiv to produce Bible expositors who are qualified to serve God effectively as pastors, missionaries, or leaders in Christian ministry.
Reflection statement

1
Reflection
For my competence in the ThM degree, I am submitting a curriculum, An Argument for the Bible, and teaching on that argument, which demonstrates that God has given me a creative mind. No matter how we think our brain functions, God can help us turn our vision into reality. The second is how strategically God put together His story. There is no word or story, though written by man, God's fingerprint is not embedded in it. I saw that the more I studied the word, the more God revealed to me who He was and what He wants for His children. I saw a God who was not evil or unjust, but a God who was doing everything to be in communion with me and those around me.

Reflection
As I developed in the ThM degree and ministry experiences, I learned how much I actually love knowing the interworkings of the Bible and bringing them to life. It was in my BE classes that I no longer looked at the Bible as a devotional but a story that God strategically put together for us to make connections from the Old Testament to the New Testament. When I would teach the material I learned, I saw others' eyes light up and realize there is so much more to this than I thought. I saw people wanting more and asking for more. I had people come to me saying they couldn’t stop thinking about the material and how God was working in them. It was a true move of God, first through me, then through the people I was preaching and teaching to. These are the artifacts that gave me a deeper love for the word and who God is.

Reflection
As a result of the experiences documented by these artifacts, I will continue to develop in the ThM degree by always being open to new understanding and teaching about Scripture. There are philosophies and denominational things I do not know very well and should put more effort into them. I want to improve on the little details of my papers and my walk through the scriptures. I want to take more time understanding it so that I can communicate God’s word with clarity and excellence. I want to continue allowing the Lord to work on my confidence and helping me realize that He has called me to this word for His purpose and glory.
